Project Description: Argonaut Constructors is seeking certified DBE subcontractors and suppliers for this roadway improvement project. 

Engineers Estimate: $13,000,000.00

UDBE Goal: 18.35 %

Time for Completion 320 Working Days and Liquidated Damages $6,100.00 per Calendar day

concrete washout, cover, check dam fiber rolls, drainage inlet protection, crash systems)valley gutter, sidewalk,  shoring, construction staking, traffic signal, lighting, related electrical, loop detectors, bike detector loops, project identification signs, replace and adjust roadway utilities, class 2 aggregate base supplier, subgrade enhancement fabric, geo-composite drain system,  , AC grinding, water, sewer & RCP storm drain pipe suppliers, concrete precast drainage structures, retaining walls, fencing BW & CL, survey monument, MBGR, delineators, object markers, culver markers, septic demolition, hazardous material disposal, contractor supplied biologist, street sweeping, progress schedule, natural resources protection plan, SWPP plan, Construction site management, temporary active treatment system, erosion control, HMA supplier, roadside signs,  rock slope protection rock and fabric, irrigation sleeves. 

Plans: Plans, specifications and project requirements may be reviewed at our office in Santa Rosa. Copies of the contract documents are available from the City of Fairfield 1000 Webster Street, Fairfield, CA 94533 or local plan rooms, builder’s exchanges, Dodge World Wide Network as well as in trade publications such as Daily Pacific Builder or Daily Construction Services. Argonaut Constructors encourages the use of minority and women subcontractors and suppliers and considers such to be an important aspect of the project. 

Info: Christer Berglund (707-542-4862 or christerb@argonautconstructors.com) is the Estimator for this project and is available to provide you with assistance to clarify any questions regarding the scope of work, including interpretation of plans, specifications and requirements, bid preparation and obtaining bonds, lines of credit, insurance and any technical assistance. Argonaut Constructors (Argonaut) may also assist in obtaining any necessary equipment, supplies, materials or related services. (Please note: Argonaut may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Contract Code Sect. 4108.  Argonaut may pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. Argonaut Constructors is a UNION CONTRACTOR.  Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements. 

Requirements: By submitting a proposal, the bidder affirms that they have carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/Addenda and that from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. Argonaut is willing to break down items into economically feasible packages and we are willing to break out any portion of work to encourage participitation. Argonaut’s listing of a subcontractor is not an acceptance of any or all of that subcontractor’s conditions, qualifications, exclusions or exceptions included in the subcontractor’s bid proposal. Argonaut is relying on the price submitted in the subcontractor’s proposal as all-inclusive price for its trade scope found in the plans and specifications regardless of any qualifying language in the proposal. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void.  Argonaut written subcontract document execution is required of all successful subcontract bidders. A copy is available for inspection at our office in Santa Rosa and/or can be provided upon written request prior to bid submission. 

Insurance: As per our insurance requirements, your bid must include the cost of naming Argonaut Constructors as additional insured; including completed operations coverage;

Use form ‘CG-2010-1185’ or equivalent; include Primary and Non-Contributing wording on your certificate of insurance and waiver of subrogation is required.
