Granite Construction Company (Granite) requests subquotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms performing commercially useful function for the following items of work, including but not limited to:
Lead Compliance Plan, Construction Area Signs, Traffic Control System,Portable Changeable Message Sign (Ls), Job Site Management, Prepare Water Pollution Control Program, Temporary Drainage Inlet Protection, Temporary Concrete Washout, Remove Roadside Sign, Remove Object Marker, Remove Delineator, Reset Roadside Sign, Adjust Inlet, Adjust Pull Box, Remove Concrete Curb (Lf), Clearing And Grubbing (Ls), Roadway Excavation, Roadway Excavation (Type Z-2) (Aerially Deposited Lead), Prune Existing Plants, Check And Test Existing Irrigation Facilities, Communication Cable, Control And Neutral Conductors, 2" Plastic Pipe (Schedule 40) (Supply Line), 2" Plastic Pipe (Class 315) (Supply Line), 12" Welded Steel Pipe Conduit, Move-In/Move-Out (Erosion Control), Compost, Class 2 Aggregate Base (Cy), Minor Hot Mix Asphalt, Place Hot Mix Asphalt Dike (Type A), Post Sleeve, Roadside Sign - One Post, Furnish Single Sheet Aluminum Sign (0.063" - Unframed) For Retroreflective Sheeting (Type Xi), Furnish Single Sheet Aluminum Sign (0.080" - Unframed) For Retroreflective Sheeting (Type Xi), Retroreflective Sheeting (Type Xi), Minor Concrete (Exposed Aggregate Concrete), Minor Concrete (Stamped Concrete), Miscellaneous Iron And Steel, Delineator (Class 1), Object Marker, Vegetation Control (Minor Concrete), Maintaining Existing Traffic Management System Elements During Construction, Modifying Existing Electrical System
Including items of work normally performed by Granite.
Quotations will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary. Granite will work with interested DBE subcontractors to identify opportunities to break down items into economically feasible packages.
Requirements: Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds required for the full amount of subcontract price. Bonding assistance is available. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator.
For any bid proposal submitted on or after March 1, 2015 and any contract for public work entered into on or after April 1, 2015, the following registration requirements apply: Every Subcontractor is required to be registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the Public Contract Code (“Section 1725.5”). No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal pursuant to Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. No bid shall be accepted nor any subcontract entered into without proof of the Subcontractor’s current registration to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5.
