General work description: Pavement Rehab Various Locations, Ellington & Fremont Streets. Work consists of rubberized asphalt concrete overlay, but not limited to cold plane, micro-surfacing, deep patch, installation of curb ramp, curb and gutter, traffic striping, pavement markers, and raising to grade valve boxes and manhole frame and covers, and other miscellaneous improvements.
The following items of work are requested, including but not limited to:
SAWCUT, WATERING, CLEARING AND GRUBBING, REJUVENATING SCRUB SEAL COAT, RUBBERIZED HOT MIX ASPHALT (RHMA-G), COLD PLANING, MICRO-SURFACING, SITE CONCRETE, TRAFFIC STRIPES AND PAVEMENT MARKINGS including Caltrans classifications C0639 - ASPHALT SUPPLIER(BULK ITEM), C0671 - DRAINAGE SYSTEMS SUPPLIER, C1200 - CONSTRUCTION AREA SIGNS, C1201 - TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM, C1601 - CLEARING & GRUBBING, C4010 - PORTLAND CEMENT & CONCRETE PAVEMENT, C5105 - MINOR CONCRETE STRUCTURE, C8405 - THERMOPLASTIC TRAFFIC STRIPING & MARKING, C8501 - PAVEMENT MARKING, C8852 - SWPPP PLANNING, C9606 - WATER TRUCK , C9905 – CUTTING, C1531 - PLANE ASPHALT CONCRETE

Quotations will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary. Granite will work with interested subcontractors to identify opportunities to break down items into economically feasible packages.
Granite is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons, and Carpenters Unions. 100% performance and payment bonds required for the full amount of the subcontract price. Granite may assist with the bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation insurance coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreements can be obtained by contacting the Estimator.

For any bid proposal submitted on or after March 1, 2015 and any contract for public work entered into on or after April 1, 2015, the following registration requirements apply: Every Subcontractor is required to be registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the Public Contract Code (“Section 1725.5”). No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal pursuant to Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. No bid shall be accepted nor any subcontract entered into without proof of the Subcontractor’s current registration to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5.
