Project Name: FOR CONSTRUCTION ON STATE HIGHWAY IN SONOMA COUNTY NEAR GUERNEVILLE AT 1.1 MILES EAST OF MAYS CANYON ROAD

 

Project Description: Argonaut Constructors is seeking certified DBE subcontractors and suppliers for this replace retaining wall, drainage and HMA resurfacing project.

Engineers Estimate: $1,410,000.00

DBE Goal: 20%

Time for Completion 340 Working Days and Liquidated Damages $3,000.00 per Calendar day

This request includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Const. area signs, traffic control, PCMS, thermoplastic and paint striping and removal, pavement markers, trucking, temporary items (fiber roll, concrete washout, k-rail, crash cushions, silt fence, fence type ESA, construction entrance, creek diversion, signal system, painted stripe and pavement markings, erosion control, gravel berm bags), erosion control,  lead compliance plan, job site management,  pipe suppliers (plastic pipe & CSP), WPC plan, cold plane asphalt, metal beam guard rail, asphalt and aggregate suppliers, tack coat, channelizer, object markers, street sweeping,   36” drilled holes, precast concrete soldier pile, minor concrete (minor structure), reinforcing streel (ret wall & overhang slab), structural concrete backfill, structural concrete, geo-composite drain, RSP Rock and fabric, concrete barrier (Type 732), irrigation and planting, fish protection, bridge removal(partial), water quality analysis/sampling/monitoring,  


Plans: Plans, specifications and project requirements may be reviewed at our office in Santa Rosa. Copies of the contract documents are available from the Caltrans at
http://dot.ca.gov/hq/esc/oe/project_ads or local plan rooms, builder’s exchanges, Dodge Scan as well as in trade publications such as Daily Pacific Builder or Daily Construction Services. Argonaut Constructors encourages the use of minority and women subcontractors and suppliers and considers such to be an important aspect of the project.

Mr. Christer Berglund (707-542-4862 or christerb@argonautconstructors.com) is the Estimator for this project and is available to provide you with assistance to clarify any questions regarding the scope of work, including interpretation of plans, specifications and requirements, bid preparation and obtaining bonds, lines of credit, insurance and any technical assistance. Argonaut Constructors (Argonaut) may also assist in obtaining any necessary equipment, supplies, materials or related services. (Please note: Argonaut may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Contract Code Sect. 4108.  Argonaut may pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. Argonaut Constructors is a UNION CONTRACTOR.  Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements.

Requirements: By submitting a proposal, the bidder affirms that they have carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/Addenda and that from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. Argonaut is willing to break down items into economically feasible packages and we are willing to break out any portion of work to encourage participitation. Argonaut’s listing of a subcontractor is not an acceptance of any or all of that subcontractor’s conditions, qualifications, exclusions or exceptions included in the subcontractor’s bid proposal. Argonaut is relying on the price submitted in the subcontractor’s proposal as all-inclusive price for its trade scope found in the plans and specifications regardless of any qualifying language in the proposal. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void.  Argonaut Constructors written subcontract document execution is required of all successful subcontract bidders. A copy is available for inspection at our office in Santa Rosa and/or can be provided upon written request prior to bid submission.

Insurance: As per our insurance requirements, your bid must include the cost of naming Argonaut Constructors as additional insured; including completed operations coverage; Use form ‘CG-2010-1185’ or equivalent; include Primary and Non-Contributing wording on your certificate of insurance and waiver of subrogation is required.
