The following items of work are requested, including but not limited to:

LEAD COMPLIANCE PLAN, CONSTRUCTION AREA SIGNS, TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM, FLASHING BEACON (PORTABLE), PORTABLE CHANGEABLE MESSAGE SIGN (LS), PREPARE WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PROGRAM, TEMPORARY DRAINAGE INLET PROTECTION, TEMPORARY FIBER ROLL, TEMPORARY GRAVEL BAG BERMstrip, STREET SWEEPING, TREATED WOOD WASTE, REMOVE GUARDRAIL, ADJUST FRAME AND COVER TO GRADE, ADJUST MANHOLE TO GRADE, COLD PLANE ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT, GEOSYNTHETIC PAVEMENT INTERLAYER (PAVING MAT), ASPHALT BINDER (GEOSYNTHETIC PAVEMENT INTERLAYER), TACK COAT, MIDWEST GUARDRAIL SYSTEM (STEEL POST), ALTERNATIVE IN-LINE TERMINAL SYSTEM, ALTERNATIVE FLARED TERMINAL SYSTEM, PAINT TRAFFIC STRIPE (2-COAT), PAINT PAVEMENT MARKING (2-COAT), INDUCTIVE LOOP DETECTOR (LS)

 

Quotations will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary.  Granite will work with interested subcontractors to identify opportunities to break down items into economically feasible packages.

 

Requirements:

Granite is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons, and Carpenters Unions.  100% performance and payment bonds required for the full amount of the subcontract price.  Granite may assist with the bond premium up to 1.5%.  Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation insurance coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement.  A copy of the insurance requirements and agreements can be obtained by contacting the Estimator.  Plans and specifications are available for viewing through the following:

Please call if you need assistance in obtaining bonding, insurance, equipment, materials, and/or supplies. Granite intends to work cooperatively with all qualified firms seeking work on this project. 

 

For any bid proposal submitted on or after March 1, 2015 and any contract for public work entered into on or after April 1, 2015, the following registration requirements apply:  Every Subcontractor is required to be registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the Public Contract Code (“Section 1725.5”).  No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal pursuant to Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5.  No bid shall be accepted nor any subcontract entered into without proof of the Subcontractor’s current registration to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5.
