is seeking quotes from certified DBE suppliers, subcontractors and
service providers for California Department of Transportation (CalTrans)
Contract No. 01-262054, bidding March 12, 2015 at 2:00 pm.

This project is described as Wetland and Riparian Planting and Erosion
Control ADJACENT TO STATE HIGHWAY 101 IN
MENDOCINO COUNTY IN AND NEAR WILLITS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS.
District-County-Route-Post Mile: 01-Men-101-45.0/50.8.

We are calling it "Willits Bypass."

WABO Landscape & Construction, Inc. seeks quotes from qualified subcontractors and service providers, especially those who are Certified DBEs for work on this project. 

This includes, but is not limited to, work performing the following bid items: 

PROGRESS SCHEDULE (CRITICAL PATH METHOD), TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM, JOB SITE MANAGEMENT, PREPARE STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PLAN, RAIN EVENT ACTION PLAN, STORM WATER SAMPLING AND ANALYSIS DAY, STORM WATER ANNUAL REPORT, MOVE-IN/MOVE-OUT (TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL), TEMPORARY TACKED STRAW, TEMPORARY COVER, TEMPORARY FIBER ROLL, TEMPORARY SILT FENCE, TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE, STREET SWEEPING, TEMPORARY FENCE (TYPE ESA), TEMPORARY MARKER (TYPE ESA), CONTRACTOR-SUPPLIED BIOLOGIST, ROADWAY EXCAVATION, ROADSIDE CLEARING, INVASIVE PLANT REMOVAL (TARGET WEED), SOIL AMENDMENT, PLANTING, PLANT ESTABLISHMENT, WOOD MULCH, MOVE-IN/MOVE-OUT (EROSION CONTROL), EROSION CONTROL (DRY SEED), EROSION CONTROL (DRILL SEED), STRAW (NATIVE GRASS),INCORPORATE MATERIALS, RIPPING (EARTHWORK), DISKING (EARTHWORK), ROCK SLOPE PROTECTION (FACING, METHOD B), ROCK SLOPE PROTECTION (NO. 3, METHOD B), CLEAN SAND AND GRAVEL, COBBLESTONE, TEMPORARY FENCE (TYPE CL-3). 

Also required will be WATER SUPPLY, WATER TRUCK and TRUCKING.

WABO also requests quotes from vendors, particularly vendors who are Certified DBEs and are either manufacturers or regular dealers as defined by 49 CFR 26.55 (e), for all materials and supplies for this project, including, but not limited to:

SOIL AMENDMENT, PLANTS, WOOD MULCH, TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL MATERIALS, EROSION CONTROL MATERIALS, CLEAN SAND AND GRAVEL, and COBBLESTONE and Rock Slope Protection materials, including RSP fabric and rock.

WABO will consider quotes for any work on this project, including work we traditionally perform with our own forces, to insure DBE participation.

WABO will work with interested Subcontractors to identify further opportunities to break bid items down into economically feasible units. Contact us to do so, or if you have any questions related to this project or wish to discuss the plans, specifications or requirements of the contract.

Subcontractors will be required to sign our standard subcontract agreement (available on request), meet our insurance requirements (also available on request) and bonds may be required.
