ENGINEER’S ESTIMATE:
$11,960,000.00 (260 WD / $3,000.00 per day LD)
GOALS: LBE 60% which includes 20% SLBE/VSLBE
Ghilotti Construction Company is preparing a bid on the above referenced project. If your firm is interested in submitting a quote to us as a subcontractor and/or supplier/trucker, please advise us by FAX or phone ASAP. Your firm must be currently certified as a LBE/SLBE/VSLBE firm with an agency acceptable to the CITY OF HAYWARD AND THE ALAMEDA CTC. PLEASE SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR CURRENT CERTIFICATION WITH YOUR BID.
We are especially seeking quotes in such areas as outlined below. The project lists many, but not necessarily all divisions of work. It is advisable that you contact the referenced Estimator to discuss this project.
Quotes requested include, but are not limited to, the following scopes of work:
CONSTRUCTION STAKING, FIBER ROLL, STORM DRAIN INLET PROTECTION, TEMPORARY SILT FENCE, TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM & CAS, PORTABLE CMS, TEMPORARY CRASH CUSHION, COLD PLANE AC (0.2’ MINIMUM), CLEAR & GRUB, REMOVE TREE, LIME, LIME-TREATED SUBGRADE, EROSION CONTROL (HYDROSEED), STORM DRAIN SYSTEM, MINOR CONCRETE (DRIVEWAY, VALLEY GUTTER, COLORED, STAMPED CONCRETE), SHEET PILE RETAINING WALL, SHEET PILE (UNDER CURB & GUTTER), BRICK, SOUND WALL, 6’ CHAIN LINK FENCE, 7’ CHAIN LINK COMBO FENCE, 8’ CHAIN LINK COMBO FENCE, WROUGHT IRON FENCE, SWING GATE & ROLL GATE, THERMOPLASTIC TRAFFIC STRIPES & PAVEMENT MARKINGS, ROADSIDE SIGNS, DOMESTIC WATER SYSTEM, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODIFICATION, JOINT TRENCH, LANDSCAPE & PLANTING, LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE, IRRIGATION SYSTEM, TRAFFIC CONTROL, EROSION CONTROL, STREET SWEEPING, TRUCKING, SUPPLIERS OF CONCRETE, AGGREGATE & ASPHALT

Mr. Rod Barber or Mr. Mark Mahboubi (707/585-1221 or rod@ghilotti.com or markm@ghilotti.com ) are the Estimators for this project and are able to provide you with assistance to clarify any questions regarding the scope of work, including interpretation of plans, specifications and requirements, bid preparation and obtaining bonds, lines of credit, insurance and any technical assistance. GCC may also assist in obtaining any necessary equipment, supplies, materials or related services. (Please note: G.C.C. may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Contract Code Sect. 4108. G.C.C. will pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. G.C.C. is a UNION CONTRACTOR. Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements.)
Project specifications, half-size plans, and a CD disk are available from the City of Hayward, DPW, 777 “B” Street, 2nd Floor, Hayward, CA 94541, (510) 583-4730, for a non-refundable fee of $100.00 per set if picked up; or $125.00 per set if mailed by regular mail with the U.S. Postal Service. Any other form of delivery will be at a cost to include the cost per set plus the delivery carrier's cost. Full size plans are available for $5.00 per sheet. They may also be reviewed at the various builders exchanges and construction service offices throughout the San Francisco Bay Area or a GCC closer to your location. Ghilotti Construction Company encourages the use of local subcontractors, trucking firms and suppliers and considers such to be an important aspect of the project.
Requirements: By submitting a proposal, the bidder affirms that they have carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/Addenda and that from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. GCC’s written subcontract document execution is required of all successful subcontract bidders. A copy is available for inspection on GCC’s website (www.ghilotti.com) and/or can be provided upon written request prior to bid submission. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void.
Insurance: As per our insurance requirements, your bid must include the cost of naming GCC as additional insured; including completed operations coverage; Use form ‘CG-2010-1185’ or equivalent; include Primary and Non-Contributing wording on your certificate of insurance and waiver of subrogation is required.
