Project Description: Argonaut Constructors is seeking certified DBE/WBE/MBE subcontractors and suppliers for the Santa Rosa Aqueduct Seismic Hazard Mitigation (Rodgers Creek Fault Crossing) Work consists of but not limited to , installation of 1,900 LF 36 inch steel water pipe including related fittings and appurtenances, new water meter turnout, manifold system, cathodic protection, electrical service panel, conduits and cables.
Engineers Estimate: $2,250,000.00
DBE/MBE Goal: 19.6%
WBE Goal: 6.9%
240 CD and $1,900.00 per day LD

This request includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Earthwork, excavation, removal and handling of hazardous materials, trenching backfilling and compacting, ac paving, cathodic protection, piping system appurtenances ( valves, blowoffs, etc:), hydrostatic testing and flushing, pipe suppliers, trucking, construction area signs, traffic control, SWPP plan, dewatering, site clearing, concrete curbs gutters and sidewalk, precast concrete structures, field pipe welding, paints and protective coatings, geo-textile fabric wrap, electrical materials and methods.
Plans: Plans, specifications and project requirements may be reviewed at our office in Santa Rosa. Copies of the contract documents are available from the Sonoma County Water Agency 404 Aviation Boulevard Santa Rosa, CA 95403 , or local plan rooms, builder’s exchanges, Dodge Scan as well as in trade publications such as Daily Pacific Builder or Daily Construction Services. Argonaut Constructors encourages the use of minority and women subcontractors and suppliers and considers such to be an important aspect of the project.
Info: Mr. Steve Langhals (707-542-4862 or stevel@argonautconstructors.com) is the Estimator for this project and is available to provide you with assistance to clarify any questions regarding the scope of work, including interpretation of plans, specifications and requirements, bid preparation and obtaining bonds, lines of credit, insurance and any technical assistance. Argonaut Constructors (Argonaut) may also assist in obtaining any necessary equipment, supplies, materials or related services. (Please note: Argonaut may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Contract Code Sect. 4108. Argonaut may pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. Argonaut Constructors is a UNION CONTRACTOR. Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements.
Requirements: By submitting a proposal, the bidder affirms that they have carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/Addenda and that from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. Argonaut is willing to break down items into economically feasible packages and we are willing to break out any portion of work to encourage participation Argonaut’s listing of a subcontractor is not an acceptance of any or all of that subcontractor’s conditions, qualifications, exclusions or exceptions included in the subcontractor’s bid proposal. Argonaut is relying on the price submitted in the subcontractor’s proposal as all-inclusive price for its trade scope found in the plans and specifications regardless of any qualifying language in the proposal. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void. Argonaut written subcontract document execution is required of all successful subcontract bidders. A copy is available for inspection at our office in Santa Rosa and/or can be provided upon written request prior to bid submission.
Insurance: As per our insurance requirements, your bid must include the cost of naming Argonaut Constructors as additional insured; including completed operations coverage; Use form ‘CG-2010-1185’ or equivalent; include Primary and Non-Contributing wording on your certificate of insurance and waiver of subrogation is required.
