Project Description: Ghilotti Construction Company, Inc. is seeking certified UDBE subcontractors and suppliers for the re-engineering of Bailey Road to provide wider sidewalks and class 2 bike lanes. The work for this project may include, but is not limited to, the following: Conduits; pull boxes; foundations; signal standards; conductors; traffic signal faces and fittings; controller assembly; utility service; inductive loop detectors; pavement delineation; roadway signs; clearing and grubbing; tree removal; traffic handling; pavement demo, surfacing; utility relocations; retaining walls; curbs, gutters and sidewalks; AC pavement reconstruction; traffic signals; roadway lighting; irrigation; landscaping, traffic striping and markings and roadway signs in the City of Pittsburg, CA.
Engineer's Estimate: $3,000,000.00
390 WD and $750.00 per day LD

TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM, EROSION CONTROL, DEMOLITION, CLEARING & GRUBBING, TEMP RAILING, GRINDING, CONCRETE CURBS/SIDEWALKS/DRIVEWAYS, TRAFFIC SIGNAL, STRIPING & MARKING, STAKING, TEMP TRAFFIC SIGNAL, RETAINING WALL, LANDSCAPING AND TRUCKING
Plans: Plans, specifications and project requirements may be reviewed at our office in Santa Rosa. Copies of the contract documents are available for $50.00 per set (add $15.00 per set for mailing) from the City of Pittsburg, Engineering Division, 65 Civic Ave., Pittsburg, CA 94565. Local plan rooms, builder’s exchanges, Dodge Scan or a GCC closer to your location as well as in trade publications such as Daily Pacific Builder or Daily Construction Services. Ghilotti Construction Company encourages the use of minority and women subcontractors and suppliers and considers such to be an important aspect of the project.
Info: Mr. Jeff Bordessa (jeffb@ghilotti.com) is the Estimator for this project and is available to provide you with assistance to clarify any questions regarding the scope of work, including interpretation of plans, specifications and requirements, bid preparation and obtaining bonds, lines of credit, insurance and any technical assistance. GCC may also assist in obtaining any necessary equipment, supplies, materials or related services. (Please note: G.C.C. may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Contract Code Sect. 4108. G.C.C. will pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. G.C.C. is a UNION CONTRACTOR. Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements.)
Requirements: By submitting a proposal, the bidder affirms that they have carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/Addenda and that from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. GCC’s written subcontract document execution is required of all successful subcontract bidders. A copy is available for inspection on GCC’s website (www.ghilotti.com) and/or can be provided upon written request prior to bid submission. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void.
Insurance: As per our insurance requirements, your bid must include the cost of naming GCC as additional insured; including completed operations coverage; Use form ‘CG-2010-1185’ or equivalent; include Primary and Non-Contributing wording on your certificate of insurance and waiver of subrogation is required.
