Project Name: Mare Island Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Phase II Project-Force Main
Project Description: Ghilotti Construction Company, Inc. is seeking certified MBE/WBE subcontractors and suppliers for sanitary sewer rehabilitation in Solano County. The project consists of installation of emergency generators, concrete stairs, paving or slurry sealing, fence, piping for by-pass pumping and nominal 18” ID HDPE force main. Remove/replace exterior light fixtures, replace exterior doors, abandon existing 18” sanitary sewer force main and associated manholes.
Engineer's Estimate: $1,400,000.00
MBE Goal: 20% / WBE Goal: 10%
120 CD and $1,000.00 per day LD

TRAFFIC CONTROL, SWPPP, CPM CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULES, CLEAR & GRUB, SANITARY SEWER BYPASS SYSTEM, HANDLING OF SOIL & DEBRIS, JACK & BORE, FENCING, CCTV ABANDONED 18” SEWER FORCE MAIN, HAND RAIL, INSTALL EXTERIOR DOOR, INSTALL UNDERHUNG CRANE & HOIST SYSTEM, BY-PASS PIPING SYSTEM, INSTALL AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH, INSTALL EXTERIOR LIGHTING FIXTURES, INSTALL CATHODIC PROTECTION SYSTEM, ELECTRICAL AND TRUCKING.
Plans and specs are available for review at our Santa Rosa office, local plan rooms, builders exchanges, Dodge Scan, Small Business Development Centers at www.sba.gov/localresources/district/ca/index.html or a GCC closer to your location. Bid Documents may be viewed and purchased by any prospective bidder at the office of the Utilities/Public Works Director, City Hall, 4th Floor, 555 Santa Clara Street, Vallejo, CA with a charge of ($75.00) which is not refundable. Mr. Steve Hanak is the Estimator for this project and is available to provide you with assistance to clarify any questions regarding the scope of work, including interpretation of plans and specifications, bid preparation and obtaining bonds, lines of credit and insurance.
(Please note: G.C.C. may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Contract Code Sect. 4108. G.C.C. will pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. G.C.C. is a UNION CONTRACTOR. Requirements: By submitting a proposal, the bidder affirms that they have carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/Addenda and that from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. GCC’s written subcontract document execution is required of all successful subcontract bidders. A copy is available for inspection on GCC’s website (www.ghilotti.com) and/or can be provided upon written request prior to bid submission. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void.
Insurance: As per our insurance requirements, your bid must include the cost of naming GCC as additional insured; including completed operations coverage; Use form ‘CG-2010-1185’ or equivalent; include Primary and Non-Contributing wording on your certificate of insurance and waiver of subrogation is required.
