Innovative, Inc. is actively soliciting bids from prospective subcontractors, services and materials suppliers whose businesses qualify as Section 3 Business Concerns. Bids from prospective subcontractors, services and material suppliers are sought in connection with the County of Kern Roads Department: Mojave Drainage Improvements Ph. XII Project 11007 to be located in the County of Kern and funded by HUD.

Interested UDBE’s may leave their firm’s names and addresses with Taurean or Steve Timm until December 7, 2010 @ 3:00 p.m.

Section 3 Business Concern: A business concern which is:

• Whose permanent, full-time employees include persons, at least 30% of whom are currently Section 3 Residents, or within three years of the date of first employment with the business concern were Section 3 Residents; or
• That provides evidence of a commitment to subcontract in excess of 25% of the dollar award of all subcontracts to be awarded to business concerns that meet the qualification set forth in paragraphs (1) or (2) in this definition of Section 3 Business Concern.

Section 3 Business Concern: A business concern which is:

(1) That is 51 or more owned by Section 3 Residents; or

(2) Whose permanent, full-time employees include persons, at least 30% of whom are currently Section 3 Residents, or within three years of the date of first employment with the business concern were Section 3 Residents; or

(3) That provides evidence of a commitment to subcontract in excess of 25% of the dollar award of all subcontracts to be awarded to business concerns that meet the qualification set forth in paragraphs (1) or (2) in this definition of Section 3 Business Concern.
