Project Name: Canal Street Pedestrian Access and Safety Improvements Project
Project Description: Ghilotti Construction Company, Inc. is seeking certified UDBE subcontractors and suppliers for work on Canal Street in San Rafael in accordance with the Lifeline Transportation Program. Work includes installation of new concrete curb and sidewalk extensions, related storm drain modifications, relocation of existing signs and fire hydrants, installation of new signs, pavement striping, light poles and bus shelters.
Engineer's Estimate: $450,000.00
40 WD and $1,000.00 per day LD

This request includes, but is not limited to, the following:
CURB & SIDEWALK RECONSTRUCTION, SAFETY LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS, ADJUST FACILITIES TO GRADE, TRAFFIC SIGNS (NEW AND RELOCATED), PAVEMENT STRIPING, MARKING AND CURB PAINTING AND TRUCKING.
Plans and specs are available for review at our Santa Rosa office, local plan rooms, builders exchanges, Dodge Scan or a GCC closer to your location. Plans and Specs may also be purchased from the City of San Rafael @ 111 Morphew Street, San Rafael, CA (415-485-3355). GCC encourages the use of minority and women subcontractors and suppliers. Mr. Thomas Smith is the Estimator for this project and is available to provide you with assistance to clarify any questions regarding the scope of work, including interpretation of plans and specifications, bid preparation and obtaining bonds, lines of credit and insurance.
(Please note: G.C.C. may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Contract Code Sect. 4108. G.C.C. will pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. G.C.C. is a UNION CONTRACTOR. Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements.)
