CHLORINE CONTACT TANKS AND BUILDING DEMOLITION
Bids Open Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
The work includes the provision of all equipment, labor, and materials necessary to complete the construction of the following, as specified and shown in the construction documents: Demolish, remove, and dispose of the existing abandoned Chlorine Contact Tank structure and associated piping, electrical, equipment, vaults, and appurtenances; Demolish, remove, and dispose of the existing abandoned Chlorine Building structure and associated piping, electrical, equipment, and appurtenances; Demolish, remove, and dispose of existing abandoned site piping, site electrical, and appurtenances; Demolish, remove, and dispose of existing abandoned miscellaneous structures; Construct site improvements; Construct approximately 200+/- linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron pipe, including appurtenances and connections to existing piping; Construct approximately 250+/- linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron pipe, including appurtenances and connections to existing piping.
SUB-CONTRACTORS/ SUPPLIERS/ MANUFACTURES SUPPORTINGDOCUMENTS AND/OR DBE CERTIFICATES, WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE RECEIVED IN OUR OFFICE- ONE BUSINESS DAY PRIOR, TO THE BID OPEING. (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) :
- Contractors and subcontractor(s) that are a WBE/MBE/DBE and shall submit proof of certification.
- We are requesting all Sub-Bidders provide their documents at least 2 days prior to bid opening. See attached Sub and Supplier Bid Document PDF attached.
- Pursuant to Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1, all contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. No bid will be accepted, nor any contract entered into without proof of the contractor’s and subcontractors’ current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform public work. If awarded a Contract, the Bidder and its subcontractors, of any tier, shall maintain active registration with the Department of Industrial Relations for the duration of the project.
Quotes for Services and Supplies requested for the following items for bid including, but not limited to: Demo, Trucking/ Hauling/ Dump/ Recycling Yard/ Disposal Landfill, Electrical, Chemical, Piping, Vaults, Site Improvements, Aggregates Ex: Class II Base, Aggregate Base, Crushed Aggregate Base, Concrete, Saw-cut, By-Pass Operations, Haz Materials, Ductile Iron Pipe & Appurtenances, Asphalt, Erosion/ Dust Control / SWPPP
For any bid proposal submitted on or after March 1, 2015 and any contract for public work entered into on or after April 1, 2015, the following registration requirements apply: Every Subcontractor is required to be registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the Public Contract Code (“Section 1725.5”). No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal pursuant to Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. No bid shall be accepted nor any subcontract entered into without proof of the
Subcontractor’s current registration to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725 .5.
