General work description: The project consists of repairing approximately 8.15 miles of various roads within the Northwest part of the City of Clearlake which experienced damage from the Sulphur Fire in 2017. The repair road widths vary from 15 ft. to 30 ft., and the shoulder width varies from 1 ft. to 4 ft. The project does not alter nor change any existing/historical drainage patterns; however, the existing storm drain system has been damaged and will be replaced in various locations. All roadways are single lanes in each direction (two-lane roads).
Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified MBE & WBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Asphalt Supplier, Concrete & Cement Supplier, Drainage Systems Supplier, Construction Staking, Traffic Control Supplier, Construction Area Signs, Traffic Control System, Traffic Flaggers, Pilot Car, Reset, Adjust Roadway Items, Plane Asphalt Concrete, Hydroseeding, Erosion Control, Temp Erosion Control, Lime Treatment, Penetration Treatment & Prime Coat (Tack Coat), Pavement Reinforcing Fabric, Ac Dike and Misc Paving, Soil Stabilization, Roadside Sign, Alternative Pipe Culvert, Corrugated Metal Pipe (CSP), Plastic Pipe, Rock Slope Protection; RSP Fabric, Concrete Curb & Sidewalk-Misc, Misc Iron & Steel Frame, Cover & Grate, Survey or Historical Monument, Metal Beam Guard Railing, Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe & Marking, Pavement Marking, Bottom Dump Trucking, Super 10 Dump Truck, Asphalt Oil Tankers, Street Sweeping Truck, Trucker, Land Surveying.
The DBE Contract goal is MBE 14.3% & WBE 6.9% percent. The estimated cost of the project is $8,000,000.00

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator.
