SLO 46 - Cholame Segment

Construction on State Hwy 46 in San Luis Obispo County
near Shandon from 0.2 mile east of Shandon Safety Roadside Rest Area to 0.1 Mile West of Davis Road (PM 49.7 to 54.7)

The project consists of converting the existing conventional 2-lane highway to a 4-lane divided expressway along a 5-mile stretch of the SLO 46 Corridors. Construction will include 2 bridges, demolition, grading, roadway excavation, drainage improvements, bridge barrier, utility installation, traffic signage and striping, and erosion control.  

Project Timeline: Currently under construction until August 2024.
