WABO Landscape & Construction, Inc.
is seeking quotes from certified and qualified DBE suppliers and subcontractors for California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) Contract No. 06-0Q5504.

This project is described as: Electrical equipment replacement on State Highways 168 and 180 in Fresno County at various locations. .

Please note: WABO is also bidding another CalTrans contract with a very similar project name and a nearly identical contract number in the same area, but with a different bid date. Please identify the project you are bidding on carefully.

This project bids Tuesday October 15, 2013 at 2:00 pm.

Please submit quotes no later than 10 am on bid day.

With your quote, please include the project number and bid date, and be sure to provide your name and contact information and if applicable, your DBE Certification Number.

We request quotes from vendors, particularly Certified DBE vendors who are manufacturers or regular dealers as defined by 49 CFR 26.55 for all materials and supplies required for this project. This includes, but is not limited to: WOOD MULCH, CONTROL AND NEUTRAL CONDUCTORS (ARMOR-CLAD), PULL BOX (NO.5(T)), VALVE BOX (NO.5(T)), 1" REMOTE CONTROL VALVE, 1 1/4" REMOTE CONTROL VALVE, 1 1/2" REMOTE CONTROL VALVE, and 2" REMOTE CONTROL VALVE.

We request quotes from subcontractors, particularly certified DBE subcontractors for work including, but not limited to the following bid items: PROGRESS SCHEDULE (CRITICAL PATH METHOD), CONSTRUCTION AREA SIGNS, TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM, PORTABLE CHANGEABLE MESSAGE SIGN (LS), JOB SITE MANAGEMENT, PREPARE WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PROGRAM, REMOVE FENCE, RELOCATE GATE, SECURITY FENCE (TYPE SF-8), 6' SECURITY GATE (TYPE SF-7), WOOD MULCH, TEMPORARY CONCRETE WASHOUT, MINOR CONCRETE (MISCELLANEOUS CONSTRUCTION), BOOSTER PUMP, PUMP PLANT DOOR, MAINTAINING EXISTING TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ELEMENTS DURING CONSTRUCTION, ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS (ROUTE 168), and ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS (ROUTE 180).

We will consider quotes for any work on this project, including work we traditionally perform with our own forces - to insure DBE participation.

We will work with interested Subcontractors to identify opportunities to break bid items down into economically feasible units. Contact us to do so, or if you have any questions related to this project or wish to discuss the plans, specifications or requirements of the contract.
