Project Name: Construction of a Major Underground Storm Drain Pipe System (Line S) along Lacoste Street, 64th Street, Overland Avenue and 62nd Street in Emeryville and Oakland, CA. This is a Zone No. 12 project.
Project Description: : General work description: preparing and implementing water pollution control plan, designing, installing and maintaining traffic control systems, de-watering system and trench and excavation protection, excavating and backfilling deep trenches, installing RCP (18" - 84"), constructing cast-in-place reinforced concrete junction structures, manholes and drain inlets, furnishing and installing slurry cement backfill, installing 84" flap gate, jacking and boring (4) parallel 36" RCP under UPRR tracks, constructing concrete curb and gutter, furnishing and compacting AC, restoring traffic pavement markings, striping and markers, de-silting Caltrans' box culvert from 65th Street to the outfall structure at the bay and all other misc. work associated with the project.
Engineer's Estimate: $6,700,000.00
220 WD and $1,000.00 per day LD
MBE Goal: 15% and WBE Goal: 5%

Diablo Blvd., Walnut Creek, CA (925-932-3113), local plan rooms, builder’s exchanges, Dodge Scan or a GCC closer to your location as well as in trade publications such as Daily Pacific Builder or Daily Construction Services. Ghilotti Construction Company encourages the use of minority and women subcontractors and suppliers and considers such to be an important aspect of the project.
Mr. Thomas Smith is the Estimator for this project and is available to provide you with assistance to clarify any questions regarding the scope of work, including interpretation of plans and specifications, bid preparation and obtaining bonds, lines of credit and insurance.
(Please note: G.C.C. may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Code Sect. 4108. G.C.C. will pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. G.C.C. is a UNION CONTRACTOR. Any non-signatory subcontractor will be required to sign a job agreement for trades covered under our agreements.)
