Project Name: Concord Blvd. Gap Closure Phase 2
(from Sixth Street to Farm Bureau Road)
Project Description: Construct sidewalk, curbs, gutters, curb ramps, pavement conforms, driveway conforms, drainage improvements, fences, pavement striping and roadside signs. Necessary work to construct these items shall include but not be limited to: clearing/grub, tree removal, roadway exc., traffic control, adjustment of utilites, detector loops and pullboxes, traffic signal and flashing beacon relocation and relocation of mailboxes.
Engineer's Estimate: $725,000.00
Work days: Base bid – 45 working days
Additive bid alt. – 25 working days
Liquidated damages: $1,500.00/day
UDBE Goal: 7.8%

This request includes, but is not limited to, the following:Trucking, traffic control/CAS, water pollution control, surveying & staking, temp. silt fence, temp. storm drain inlet protection, temp. concrete washout, clear/grub, tree removal, landscape restoration, remove irrigation, remove brick retaining curb, remove light post, remove/replace mailboxes, reloc. sign, remove/reconst fencing, roadway exc., exc. safety, AC driveway conform, PCC driveway conform, concrete path/steps/sidewalk/curb ramp/retaining curb, chain link railing, 18”alt. pipe culvert, 15 gallon trees, roadside sign, striping/markings, grinding, signal and lighting.
Plans, specifications and project requirements may be reviewed at our office in Santa Rosa.. They may also be obtained through City of Concord for $60.00/set, 2151 Salvio St., Suite 350, Concord, CA 925/671-3361, local plan rooms, builder’s exchanges, Dodge Scan or a GCC closer to your location as well as in trade publications such as Daily Pacific Builder or Daily Construction Services. Ghilotti Construction Company encourages the use of minority and women subcontractors and suppliers and considers such to be an important aspect of the project.

(Please note: G.C.C. may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Code Sect. 4108. G.C.C. will pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. G.C.C. is a UNION CONTRACTOR. Any non-signatory subcontractor will be required to sign a job agreement for trades covered under our agreements.)
