is seeking DBE Qualified Sub-Contractors on the following Project

General work description: Work will include conform grinding, removal and replacement of failed asphalt in localized areas (digouts), striping removal, installation of thermoplastic striping, installation of bicycle signage, shoulder backing, guard rail improvements, signal loop replacement and associated electrical work, ADA upgrades for curb ramps, utility cover adjustments and traffic control.

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Asphalt Supplier, Concrete & Cement Supplier, Construction Staking, Construction Area Signs, Traffic Control System, Traffic Flaggers, Reset, Adjust Roadway Items, Plane Asphalt Concrete, Clearing & Grubbing, Penetration Treatment & Prime Coat (Tack Coat), Ac Dike And Misc. Paving, Recycle, Reclaim Asphalt Concrete, Concrete Curb & Sidewalk-Misc., Misc. Iron & Steel Frame, Cover & Grate, Metal Beam Guard Railing, Metal Railing, Metal Beam Barrier, Crash Cushion, Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe & Marking, Pavement Marking, Signal & Lighting, Detector, Surveyor, SWPPP Planning, Super 10 Dump Truck, Asphalt Oil Tankers, Trucker, Construction Staking (Survey)

The DBE Contract goal is 14% percent. The estimated cost of the project is $2,836,849.00.

Requirements: No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work with the Dept of Industrial Relations https://efiling.dir.ca.gov/PWCR/Search.action

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator.
