General work description: Project will add complete street improvements, new sidewalks, crosswalks, new street lights and pedestrian lights, landscaping, bioretention facilities, and bus passenger shelters to Bay Road. The project will additionally repair the base structure and resurface Bay Road and install drainage and utility improvements. New striping will delineate vehicle travel lanes and bicycles lanes to create a multi modal street that meets current design and safety standards for vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian travel.
Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Tree Services; Construction Area Signs; Traffic Control System; Reset, Adjust Roadway Items; Clearing & Grubbing; Roadway Excavation; Highway Planting; Irrigation System; Landscape Maintenance; Aggregate Base; Roadside Sign; Corrugated Metal Pipe (CSP); Downdrain; Plastic Pipe; Corrugated Steel Pipe Inlet & Riser; Reinfored Concrete Sewer Pipe; Cast Iron Sewer Pipe; Concrete Curb & Sidewalk-Misc; Misc Iron & Steel Frame, Cover & Grate; Synthetic Product Installation (Pvc Domestic Water Line & Irrigation); Painted Traffic Stripe & Marking; Pavement Marking; Signal & Lighting; Lighting; Enviro - Biological Studies; SWPPP Planning; Trucker Broker; Construction Staking (Survey).

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price.

Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator.
