General work description: In general, the work to be completed under this Contract consists of demolition and disposal of an existing lead contaminated welded steel water tank and appurtenant facilities; excavation and disposal of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) and lead contaminated soil; construction of a 2.1-million-gallon pre-stressed concrete potable water reservoir and appurtenances; construction of a 1,176-square-foot subsurface concrete isolation valve vault; construction of a 1,164-square-foot partially buried flow control facility; installation of water pipe between the reservoir, valve vault, and flow control facility; construction of a reservoir overflow pipe, energy dissipator, and drainage improvements; construction of site improvements including rock excavation, grading, N0504.206.1-1 -PROJECTfactsheet.doc.docx paving, landscaping, and fencing; installation of Valley Center Municipal Water District site water and communication improvements; installation of site electrical including lighting, power, communication, instrumentation, control, and security improvements; installation of fiber optic communication from the Valley Center Pump Station to the Hauck Mesa Storage Reservoir; and all other improvements and work required for functional and operational facilities.
