The period of performance for the design and construction of P-1003 will be 560 calendar days (including 15
calendar days for bonds) from contract award as set forth in the schedule.

General work description: The purpose of this project is for the design and construction to demolish three existing wind turbines at San Clemente Island, California, Naval Base Coronado, California, and replace with three higher kilowatt (kW) wind turbines to be connected to the grid network. The project includes replacement of all electrical equipment, installation of an energy storage system, dump load bank and system integration and controls into the existing diesel generator plant and SCI power system. The project will provide testing and commissioning of the new wind turbines.
