Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified DBE/SBE/MBE/WBE firms subcontractors and material suppliers performing commercially useful functions for the following project:

General Work Description: The project modernizes and expands the operating Machado Wastewater Treatment Facility, replacing the existing pond-based process with a membrane bioreactor system while maintaining treatment operations through construction, commissioning, testing, and acceptance. Phase 1 design flows are 0.325 MGD average annual and 1.296 MGD (900 gpm) peak hour. Future Phase 2 criteria are 0.500 MGD average annual and 2.0 MGD (1,390 gpm) peak hour. Major improvements include a new influent lift station, working equalization tank and pump station, packaged headworks, MBR, UV disinfection, sludge holding and dewatering, influent equalization and effluent holding ponds, pump stations, yard piping, recycled-water facilities, and three new percolation beds. Supporting work includes pond desludging and abandonment, demolition, bypassing, earthwork, electrical and controls, generators, electrical building, paving, drainage, stormwater detention, vehicle-support facilities, fencing, landscaping, irrigation, vactor dump station, and additive septage receiving station.

Subcontractors must possess a valid contractor's license, insurance, workers' compensation coverage, and a current DIR registration. Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of the subcontract amount may be required. Granite may assist with bond premiums up to 1%.
