Shimmick Construction Company, Inc. is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and material suppliers, including certified firms, performing commercially useful functions for the following project:

Agency: East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD)
Project: Main Wastewater Treatment Plant Secondary Reactors Rehabilitation, Phase 2
Specification: SD-462
Bid Date: Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time
Engineer’s Estimate: $18,500,000–$19,500,000

Work includes rehabilitation of covered and open concrete structures; relining, modification, or replacement of small and large diameter steel and ductile iron pipes and their associated pipe supports; replacement or installation of valves and piping appurtenances and their associated electrical and instrumentation scope; installation and operation of a temporary 11 MGD pumped bypass; rehabilitation of reactor mixer and aerator; installation of new or improvements to existing instrumentation and their associated electrical and instrumentation scope; rehabilitation and replacement of motor control center components; modifications to existing sluice gates and installation of new slide gates; installation of platforms and access improvements to open concrete structures; rerouting of sump pump discharge lines; excavation and trench work; and surveying of key points in and around the reactors.

Shimmick Construction Company, Inc. is requesting quotes for the following scopes of work, including, but not limited to:

Subcontractors: Architectural, Demolition, Erosion Control, Fencing, Flatwork, Painting, Trucking, and Welding.

Suppliers: Aggregate, Mechanical Equipment, Misc. Metals, PVC Piping, Ready Mix, Utility Pipe (Plastic and DIP), and Valves & Fittings.

Shimmick is willing to break items of work into smaller, economically feasible units to assist subcontractors and suppliers in obtaining work on this project. Please contact Jamie Miranda for assistance with obtaining bonding, lines of credit, insurance, equipment, materials, supplies, plans, or related technical assistance.
