Granite Construction Company requests subquotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms performing commercially useful function for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Lead Compliance Plan, Construction Area Signs, Traffic Control System, Portable Changeable Message Sign (Ls), Prepare Water Pollution Control Program, Temporary Cover, Temporary Drainage Inlet Protection, Temporary Creek Diversion System, Temporary Fiber Roll, Temporary Gravel Bag Berm, Temporary Silt Fence, Temporary Construction Entrance, Temporary Construction Roadway, Street Sweeping, Temporary Active Treatment System, Temporary Concrete Washout, Water Quality Sampling And Analysis Day, Water Quality Monitoring Report, Water Quality Annual Report, Remove Yellow Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe (Hazardous Waste), Work Area Monitoring (Bridge), Remove Sacked Concrete Slope Protection, Temporary High-Visibility Fence, Temporary Construction Mat (Ls), Roadway Excavation, Structure Excavation (Type D), Structure Backfill (Bridge), Structure Backfill (Drainage), Embankment, Roadside Clearing, Move-In/Move-Out (Erosion Control), Rolled Erosion Control Product (Netting), Hydromulch, Fiber Rolls, Hydroseed, Compost (Cy), Incorporate Materials, Hot Mix Asphalt (Type A), Place Hot Mix Asphalt Dike (Type E), Micropile, Structural Concrete, Bridge, Aggregate Base (Approach Slab), Structural Concrete, Approach Slab (Type R), Paving Notch Extension, Drill And Bond Dowel, Clean Expansion Joint, Joint Seal (Mr 1"), Bar Reinforcing Steel (Bridge), Asphalt Membrane Waterproofing, Clean And Thermal Spray Coat Structural Steel, Paint Bridge Identification, Rapid Setting Concrete (Patch),Remove Unsound Concrete, Column Casing, 18" Plastic Pipe, Remove Culvert (Lf), Rock Slope Protection (No. 2, Method B) (Cy), Rock Slope Protection Fabric (Class 8), Remove Pavement Marker, Pavement Marker (Retroreflective), 6" Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe, Paint Traffic Stripe (2-Coat), Remove Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe, Maintaining Existing Traffic Management System Elements During Construction.
Including items of work normally performed by Granite. Quotations will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary. Granite will work with interested DBE subcontractors to identifyopportunities to break down items into economically feasible packages.
Requirements: Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds required for the full amount of subcontract price. Bonding assistance is available. Subcontractors must possess a current contractors license, insurance and workers compensation coverage meeting Granite's requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator. For any bid proposal submitted on or after March 1, 2015 and any contract for public work entered into on or after April 1, 2015, the following registration requirements apply: Every Subcontractor is required to be registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the Public Contract Code (Section 1725.5). No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal pursuant to Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. No bid shall be accepted nor any subcontract entered into without proof of the Subcontractors current registration to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5.
