Project Description: Argonaut Constructors is seeking certified DBE subcontractors and suppliers for this Construct retaining wall, drainage system and rock slope protection Project.

Bid Date: November 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm

Submit quotes by NOON on bid date.

DBE Goal: 16%

Location: Jenner, Sonoma County

Engineers Estimate: $3,320,000.00

The work is approximately: 90-120 Working Days and Liquidated Damages $4,800.00 per Calendar day

Work includes, but is not limited to the following bid items: Construction area signs, lead compliance plan, WPPP, trucking, water trucks, HMA material supplier, traffic control, jobsite management, temporary items-cover, silt fence, railing-Type K, crash cushions, signal system, gravel bag berm, reinforced silt fence, fence type CL-6, pavement marking paint, aggregate material supplier-Class 3 permeable material blanket, class II aggregate base, 6 inch thermoplastic striping, minor concrete minor structure, channelizers, portable changeable message sign, cold plane asphalt, move-in move-out erosion control, imported topsoil, rolled erosion control-netting, hydro mulch, fiber rolls, hydroseed, compost, treated wood waste, structure excavation-soldier pile wall, structure backfill-slurry cement and soldier pile wall, concrete backfill-soldier pile wall, lean concrete backfill, soil amendment, packer fertilizer, plant group l and A, plant establishment work, wood mulch, foliage protector, sprinkler components, plastic pipe, geo-synthetic pavement interlayer, place hot mix asphalt dike, ground anchor, steel soldier pile, 30 drilled hole, structural concrete , waler, structural concrete drainage inlet, bar reinforcing steel, timber lagging, clean & paint steel soldier piling, alternative pipe culvert, concrete backfill-pipe trench, corrugated pipe, perforated and non-perforated plastic pipe, rock slope protection rock and rock slope protection fabric, misc. iron & steel, rock stain, chain link fence, pavement marker, midwest guardrail system, vegetation control-minor concrete, cable railing, end anchor assy., alt in-line terminal system, remove guardrail.

(Please note: Argonaut may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Contract Code Sect. 4108. Argonaut may pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. Argonaut Constructors is a UNION CONTRACTOR. Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements.


Requirements: By submitting a proposal, the bidder affirms that they have carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/Addenda and that from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. Argonaut is willing to break down items into economically feasible packages and we are willing to break out any portion of work to encourage participitation. Argonaut’s listing of asubcontractor is not an acceptance of any or all of that subcontractor’s conditions, qualifications, exclusions or exceptions included in the subcontractor’s bid proposal. Argonaut is relying on the price submitted in the subcontractor’s proposal as all-inclusive price for its trade scope found in the plans and specifications regardless of any qualifying language in the proposal. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void. Argonaut written subcontract document execution is required of all successful subcontract bidders. A copy is available for inspection at our office in Santa Rosa and/or can be provided upon written request prior to bid submission.


Insurance: As per our insurance requirements, your bid must include the cost of naming Argonaut Constructors as additional insured; including completed operations coverage, include primary and Non-Contributing wording on your certificate of insurance and waiver of subrogation is required.
