Project Description: Argonaut Constructors is seeking certified DBE subcontractors and suppliers for this hot mix asphalt overlay project.
Engineers Estimate: $14,700,000.00
DBE Goal: 16%
Time for Completion 75-105 Working Days and Liquidated Damages $10,000.00 per Calendar day

Construction area signs, lead compliance plan, trucking, water trucks, HMA material supplier, tack oil supplier, traffic control, jobsite management, temporary items (concrete washout, drainage inlet protection, check dam, railing Type K, pedestrian access route, gravel bag berm, high visibility fence) 6” and 8” thermoplastic striping and markings install and removal, cold plane asphalt, portable changeable message signs, water pollution control plan, pavement markers remove and install, shoulder backing, crack treatment, remove and install hot mix asphalt dike type A, C, E, and F, channelizers surface mounted, alternative temporary crash cushion, asbestos compliance plan, treated wood waste, progress schedule critical path method, date core, midwest guard rail system (special) and midwest guardrail system (8’ post), remove and installation vegetation control mat (fiber), 12” rumble strip (asphalt concrete pavement), modify existing electrical system, minor concrete (minor structure), adjust manholes and valve box frame & cover to grade, transition railing(type wb-31), end anchor assembly (type sft), alternative in-line terminal system, reconstruct guardrail (steel post and wood post)

Argonaut Constructors encourages the use of minority and women subcontractors and suppliers and considers such to be an important aspect of the project.
Info: Mr. Christer Berglund (707-542-4862 or firstname.lastname@example.org) is the Estimator for this project and is available to provide you with assistance to clarify any questions regarding the scope of work, including interpretation of plans, specifications and requirements, bid preparation and obtaining bonds, lines of credit, insurance and any technical assistance. Argonaut Constructors (Argonaut) may also assist in obtaining any necessary equipment, supplies, materials or related services. (Please note: Argonaut may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Contract Code Sect. 4108. Argonaut may pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. Argonaut Constructors is a UNION CONTRACTOR. Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements.
Requirements: By submitting a proposal, the bidder affirms that they have carefully examined all the bidding documents/Addenda and that from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. Argonaut is willing to break down items into economically feasible packages and we are willing to break out any portion of work to encourage participitation. Argonaut’s listing of a subcontractor is not an acceptance of any or all of that subcontractor’s conditions, qualifications, exclusions or exceptions included in the subcontractor’s bid proposal. Argonaut is relying on the price submitted in the subcontractor’s proposal as all-inclusive price for its trade scope found in the plans and specifications regardless of any qualifying language in the proposal. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void. Argonaut written subcontract document execution is required of all successful subcontract bidders. A copy is available for inspection at our office in Santa Rosa and/or can be provided upon written request prior to bid submission.
Insurance: As per our insurance requirements, your bid must include the cost of naming Argonaut Constructors as additional insured; including completed operations coverage; include Primary and Non-Contributing wording on your certificate of insurance and waiver of subrogation is required.
