Project Name: For Construction on State Highway  in Lake County near Upper Lake from 0.4 mile West of WitterSprings Road to 0.4 Mile East of Bachelor Creek Bridge.

      Project Description: Argonaut Constructors is seeking certified DBE subcontractors and suppliers for this Widen shoulders and replace bridge with box culvert.

Engineers Estimate: $10,800,000.00

DBE Goal: 11 %

Time for Completion 95-135 Working Days and Liquidated Damages $10,000.00 per Calendar day

Construction area signs, lead compliance plan, trucking, water trucks, HMA and RHMA material supplier, tack oil supplier, traffic control, jobsite management, temporary items (concrete washout, railing Type K, drainage inlet protection, Hydraulic mulch, cover, check dams, erosion control move-in/move-out, fiber rolls, gravel bag berm, silt fence, construction entrance, creek diversions, traffic stripe paint, thrie beam barrier, alternative crash cushions, high visibility fence) cold plane asphalt, portable changeable message signs, storm water pollution prevention plan, portable radar speed feedback sign systems, storm water annual report, storm water sampling and analysis, rain event action plan, type III barricade, pavement markers,  shoulder backing,  install hot mix asphalt dike type A, E, F and misc. areas,  place hot mix asphalt (misc. areas), remove ac dike, channelizers surface mounted, portable delineator, treated wood waste, progress schedule critical path method, Geosynthetic pavement interlayer (paving fabric), contractor supplied biologist, natural resources protection plan, move-in/move-out erosion control, bonded fiber matrix, rolled netting, hydromulch, fiber rolls, hydroseed, compost, class II aggregate base,  structural concrete (headwall, drainage inlet, box culvert wing wall type A), bar reinforcing steel (box culvert), 12” and 24” alternative pipe culvert and FES, 12” and 24’  street sweeping, geomembrane (water barrier), rammed aggregate columns, biaxial geogrid, cone penetration test, compost, asphalt binder (geosynthetic pavement interlayer), engineered streambed material, concrete(channel lining), rock slope projection type and rsp fabric, misc. iron & steel, reset mailboxes and signs,  obliterate surface, fence (type BW metal post), fence removal, delineator class 1, guard railing delineator, milepost marker, culvert marker, object marker, remove marker and roadside signs, remove roadside sings, aluminum signage, roadside signs one & two post, midwest guardrail system steel post and 7’ steel post, vegetation control (minor concrete), cable railing, end anchor and terminal system, reconstruct guardrail, thermoplastic striping and pavement markings installation and removal, 12” rumble strip, maintaining existing traffic management system elements during construction.

(Please note: Argonaut may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Contract Code Sect. 4108.  Argonaut may pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. Argonaut Constructors is a UNION CONTRACTOR.  Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements.

Requirements: By submitting a proposal, the bidder affirms that they have carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/Addenda and that from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. Argonaut is willing to break down items into economically feasible packages and we are willing to break out any portion of work to encourage participitation. Argonaut’s listing of a subcontractor is not an acceptance of any or all of that subcontractor’s conditions, qualifications, exclusions or exceptions included in the subcontractor’s bid proposal. Argonaut is relying on the price submitted in the subcontractor’s proposal as all-inclusive price for its trade scope found in the plans and specifications regardless of any qualifying language in the proposal. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void.  Argonaut written subcontract document execution is required of all successful subcontract bidders. A copy is available for inspection at our office in Santa Rosa and/or can be provided upon written request prior to bid submission.

Insurance: As per our insurance requirements, your bid must include the cost of naming Argonaut Constructors as additional insured; including completed operations coverage, include primary and Non-Contributing wording on your certificate of insurance and waiver of subrogation is required.
