Construction on state highway in Mendocino and Humboldt counties near Cooks Valley from 0.4 mile S of South Fork Eel River bridge to 0.1 mile N of Rte 271.

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DVBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Traffic Control System; Traffic Flaggers; Plane Asphalt Concrete; Remove Bridge Item; Hydroseeding; Erosion Control; Temp Erosion Control; Pavement Reinforcing Fabric; Ac Dike and Misc. Paving; Clean & Seal Pavement Joints - Rout & Seal Cracks; Joint Seal - Water Stop; Reinforcing Steel; Roadside Sign; Metal Beam Guard Railing; Concrete Barrier; Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe & Marking; Remove Striping & Marking; Maintain TMS Elements; Lighting (Installation Of Street Lights); Pavement Profiling; Environmental Engineer; Materials Testing Service; Enviro - Biological Studies; Environmental-Water Quality; Lead Compliance; Biological Resources Study; Trucker Broker; Trucker, Polyester Concrete Overlay, Clean Bridge Deck, Remove Unsound Concrete.
The DVBE Contract goal is 3% percent. SB1 Funding. The estimated cost of the project is $4,490,000.00. Plans and specifications are available at Caltrans http://ppmoe.dot.ca.gov/des/oe/weekly-ads/oe-project.php?q=01-0F5104. You’ll need a login and agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement to access plans.

Requirements:
No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work with the Dept of Industrial Relations https://efiling.dir.ca.gov/PWCR/Search.action
Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator. Please call if you need assistance in obtaining bonding, insurance, equipment, materials and/or supplies. Granite intends to work cooperatively with all qualified firms seeking work on this project.
