Project Description: Argonaut Constructors is seeking certified DBE/MBE/WBE subcontractors and suppliers for this roadway repair project, including construction of retaining wall structures, pile installation, roadway repairs, drainage repairs and improvements, concrete work, and asphalt concrete paving.

Engineers Estimate: $1,446,000.00

Minority Goal Federal 14.9 %

Time for Completion 120 Working Days and Liquidated Damages $4,000.00 per Calendar day

Progress schedule, construction area signs, traffic control, flagging, portable delineators, temporary railing (type K), temporary crash cushion, prepare water pollution control program, temporary high visibility fence, roadway excavation, structure excavation & backfill, rammed aggregate pier columns, concrete backfill, lean concrete backfill, erosion control, aggregate base, asphalt concrete, place asphalt dike, place asphalt concrete (misc. areas), steel soldier pile, 30” and 48” drilled holes, structural concrete (retaining wall & barrier slab), bar reinforcing steel, clean & paint steel soldier pile, furnish and install horizontal drain, drill hole (horizontal drain), class I permeable material (48” Hole), reconstruct rock slope protection, place steel lagging, misc. metals (retaining wall), midwest guardrail system, concrete barrier, trucking, water trucks.

Argonaut Constructors (Argonaut) may also assist in obtaining any necessary equipment, supplies, materials or related services. (Please note: Argonaut may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Contract Code Sect. 4108.  Argonaut may pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. Argonaut Constructors is a UNION CONTRACTOR.  Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements.

Requirements: By submitting a proposal, the bidder affirms that they have carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/Addenda and that from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. Argonaut is willing to break down items into economically feasible packages and we are willing to break out any portion of work to encourage participitation. Argonaut’s listing of a subcontractor is not an acceptance of any or all of that subcontractor’s conditions, qualifications, exclusions or exceptions included in the subcontractor’s bid proposal. Argonaut is relying on the price submitted in the subcontractor’s proposal as all-inclusive price for its trade scope found in the plans and specifications regardless of any qualifying language in the proposal. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void.  Argonaut written subcontract document execution is required of all successful subcontract bidders. A copy is available for inspection at our office in Santa Rosa and/or can be provided upon written request prior to bid submission.
