General work description: Building work.

Granite Construction Company is requesting quotes from all qualified DBE subcontractors and suppliers including firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Landscaping Material Supplier, Sand & Gravel Supplier, Asphalt Supplier, Pipe Supplier, Draining Systems Supplier, Fencing Supplier, Pavement Markers Supplier, Building Material Supplier, Traffic Striping, Marking And Traffic Control Materials Supplier, Construction Area Signs, Traffic Control System, Clearing & Grubbing, Roadway Excavation, Highway Planting, Soil Amendments, Erosion Control, Temporary Erosion Control, Aggregate Subbase, Aggregate Base, Asphalt Concrete, Paving Asphalt (Asphalt Concrete), Place Asphalt Concrete Dike & Misc, Portland Cement & Concrete Pavement, Minor Concrete Structure, Reinforcing Steel, Roadside Sign, Reinforced Concrete Pipe, Plastic Pipe, Rock Slope Protection, Concrete Curb & Sidewalk - Misc, Misc Iron & Steel Frame, Cover & Grate, Fencing, Thermoplastic Traffic Striping & Marking, Painted Traffic Striping & Marking, Pavement Marker, Signal & Lighting, Message Signs, Lighting & Sign Illumination, Lead Compliance, Swppp Planning, Bottom Dump Trucking, Transfer Dump Truck, Flat Bed Trucking, End Dump Truck, Street Sweeping Truck, Building Construction, Small Structures, Land Surveying, Landscaping Contractor. Quotations will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary.

Included but not limited to items of work normally performed by Granite. Quotations will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary. Granite will work with interested DBE subcontractors to identify opportunities to break down items into economically feasible packages.

Requirements: Firms must possess & provide current contractor’s license number & DIR Registration number on the quote.  No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work with the Dept of Industrial Relations https://efiling.dir.ca.gov/PWCR/Search.action

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator.
