INVITATION TO BID

Orion Construction Corporation would like to notify interested subcontractors and suppliers of our intent to solicit proposals and interest for the PROGRESSIVE DESIGN-BUILD SERVICES EAST COUNTY ADVANCED WATER PURIFICATION PROJECT PACKAGE #2. Subcontractors and suppliers will perform in their areas of expertise and be readily available to perform various service tasks based on the East County Advanced Water Purification (ECAWP) Joint Powers Authority (JPA) developing needs. Orion Construction Corporation is looking for qualified subcontractors and suppliers to join them in constructing this Advanced Water Purification (AWP) Pipeline Project.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Package 2 of the ECAWP Project, consisting of an Advanced Water Purification (AWP) Pipeline, 11.5 million gallons per day (MGD) Dechlorination Facility, and new Lake Jennings Reservoir Inlet located throughout the City of Santee and adjacent unincorporated areas of San Diego County.

Civil Pipeline Work: Dewatering, Paving, Shoring, Microtunneling, Jack and Bore, Horizontal Directional Drilling, Striping, Testing/Soils, Electrical, Traffic Control, Drilling/Shooting, Pipe Material,  Trucking, Aggregates, Concrete Work &  Cold Planing.

Architectural (De-chlorination Building): Concrete Flatwork, Reinforcing Steel, Pre-fabricated metal building steel, Masonry, Electrical/Telemetry, HVAC, Painting, Plumbing, Roofing, Doors and Windows, Insulation, Sheetmetal, Landscaping/Irrigation & Fencing

Requirements: For any bid proposal submitted on or after March 1, 2015 and any contract for public work entered into on or after April 1, 2015, the following registration requirements apply: Every Subcontractor is required to be registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the Public Contract Code (“Section 1725.5”).No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal pursuant to Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5.  No bid shall be accepted, nor any subcontract entered into without proof of the Subcontractor’s current registration to perform public work pursuant to Section1725.5.
 
Orion Construction Corporation is a nonunion company. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, DIR number, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage, meeting Orion Construction Corporation’s requirements.
