General work description: The Project is located at North Livermore Avenue from 1100’ south of Las Positas Avenue to Chestnut Street, and South Livermore Avenue from Eight Street to Concannon Blvd, and is described as follows: the Contract Documents describe the Work, which includes, but is not limited to the construction of street resurfacing and related minor concrete work in the City of Livermore. The project consists of preparatory street cleaning, asphalt concrete pavement and base repairs, pavement grinding, removal of existing traffic striping and markers, replacement of damaged concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk, construction of ADA-compliant access curb ramps, asphalt concrete overlays and pavement reconstruction, adjustment of utility covers to grade, the installation of new thermoplastic pavement striping and markings and, raised pavement markers and all appurtenant work.
Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Tree Services; Construction Area Signs; Traffic Control System; Traffic Flaggers; Reset, Adjust Roadway Items; Plane Asphalt Concrete; Remove Concrete; Roadway Excavation; Temp Erosion Control; Aggregate Base; Asphalt Concrete (Place); Groove & Grind Pavement; Roadside Sign; Concrete Curb & Sidewalk-Misc; Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe & Marking; Painted Traffic Stripe & Marking; Pavement Marking; Signal & Lighting; Transfer Dump Truck; Super 10 Dump Truck; Street Sweeping Truck
The DBE Contract goal is 16 percent.
The estimated cost of the project is $2,121,300

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator.
