Project: Stevens Creek Evelyn Fish Passage Project
Location: Located in the City of Mountain View, California
Owner: Santa Clara Valley Water District (Valley Water)
Bid Date & Time: Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM
The estimated cost of the Project is between $5 million to $7 million.

General work description:  A fish passage project was originally built in 2015 on the main channel of Stevens Creek at this location, with seven steel sheet pile grade controls, a concrete weir-pool fishway under the Caltrain bridge, an upstream bypass overflow weir composed of large boulders, and about 600 feet of channel fill with rock. Subsequent to construction in 2015, the winter storms of 2017 eroded the creek bed at levels that no longer provided fish passage. The sheet piles and the concrete weir-pool remained intact; however, the remaining rock channel fill no longer provides fish passage and the upstream bypass weir no longer functions as designed for flood overflows.
