Granite Construction Company hereby requested assistance of DBE, MBEs, WBEs, OBEs, SBEs, LBEs, and DVBEs subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and truckers on this project.

Project Name: Storm Damage Repair Project - Alhambra Valley Road at Ferndale, Alhambra Valley Road West of Castro Ranch Road, Bear Creek Road Embankment Repairs

Project Owner: Contra Costa County  Bid Date   6-8-21  2:00 PM.  

General work description: At the Alhambra Valley Road at Ferndale site, work includes construction of a soldier pile retaining wall, drainage improvements, guardrail and vegetation control, and reconstruction of the roadway. At the Alhambra Valley Road West of Castro Ranch Road site, work includes remedial grading and reconstruction of the embankment, construction of guardrail and vegetation control, and reconstruction of the roadway. At Bear Creek Road, there are two sites, 3A and 3B. At site 3A, work includes construction of a soldier pile retaining wall, drainage improvements, guardrail and vegetation control, and reconstruction of the roadway. At site 3B, work includes remedial grading and reconstruction of the embankment, construction of guardrail and vegetation control, and reconstruction of the roadway.

Trades needed (Include but not necessarily limited to:) Traffic Control, Striping, Erosion Control, Clear & Grub, Drilling, Clean & Paint Soldier Piles, Shotcrete, Minor Concrete, Railing, Fence, Signage, Survey, Pipe, SWPPP, AC Dike, MBGR, Construction Materials, trucking

The estimated cost of the project is $1,740,000.

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator.
