Construct Bridges SR57/91 Interchange
Owner: Caltrans District 12, Contract No. 12-0K93U4
DBE GOAL: 22%

General Work Description: Key components of the SR-57/91 Interchange Improvement include improving the connectors from westbound SR-91 to both northbound and southbound SR-57, adding an auxiliary lane from SR-57 to the Raymond Avenue/East Street off-ramp, reconstructing the La Palma Avenue overcrossing to include standard lanes, shoulders, and sidewalks in both directions, and constructing a bypass ramp for the northbound SR-57 Orangethorpe Avenue off-ramp, prior to SR-91, to eliminate the need to merge across multiple lanes at the interchange.

Requested scopes include, but are not limited to the following and should be based on the Contract and its amendments: Aggregates, Bearing Pads, Bridge Deck Drainage System, BMP Materials, Formliner, Geotextiles, Joint Seal Material, Metal Decking, Miscellaneous Metals, Pipe Materials, PCC Materials, RCP Pipe, Ready Mix Concrete, Steel Casing, Traffic Control Materials, Asphalt Paving, AC Dike, Biologist, CIDH, Construction Area Signs, Clearing & Grubbing, Concrete Barrier (Bridge), Concrete Barrier (Roadway), Concrete Ditch, Concrete Flatwork, Demolition, Driven Pile, Erosion Control, Fencing & Railing, Guardrail, Grind Existing PCC, Ground Anchors, Landscape & Irrigation, Masonry Soundwall, Milling, Minor Structures, Paint / Stain Concrete, PCC Paving, Potholing, Post-Tensioned Concrete, Precast Girders, Pre/Post Construction Survey, Quality Control, Reinforcing Steel, Roadside Signs, Rock Slope Protection, Saw & Seal Concrete, Sign Structures, Striping, Survey, Sweeper, Hazardous Material Handling, Underground Utilities, Concrete Pump, and Water Truck.

Requirements: Skanska is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers. Skanska will assist qualified subcontractors, vendors, & suppliers in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, insurance, necessary equipment, materials and/or supplies. If you are a DBE Company, please provide your certification letter with your proposal. In order to assist DBE subcontractors and suppliers, we will divide total requirements into smaller packages, tasks or quantities & establish delivery & construction schedule, which will permit maximum participation when feasible. If you are a Non DBE, please indicate all lower-tier participation on your quotation as it will be evaluated with your price. Project documents can be reviewed by appointment in our office Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Skanska’s insurance requirements are Commercial General Liability (GL): $1M ea. occ., $1M personal injury, $2M products and completed operations agg. and general agg.; $1M Auto Liability; $5M Excess/Umbrella and $1M Workers Comp. Endorsements and waivers required are the Additional Insured End., Primary Wording End., and a Waiver of Subrogation (GL & WC). Other insurance requirements may be necessary per scope or RFP requirement. Subcontractors may be required to furnish performance & payment bonds in the full amount of their subcontract by an admitted surety & subject to approval by Skanska. Quotations must be valid for the same duration as specified by the Owner for contract award (180 days). Conditions or exceptions in Subcontractor’s quote are expressly rejected unless accepted in writing. Skanska is signatory to the Operating Engineers, Laborers, Cement Masons, & Carpenters Unions. Subcontractors must provide weekly, one original and one copy of all certified payrolls, including non-performance and fringe benefit statements if required by law or by the Prime Contract. Please note that all Contractors and Subcontractors must register with The DIR (Department of Industrial Relations) in order to bid on public works projects. Include Contractor License Number and DIR Number on all Quotes Submitted.
