DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK: Street resurfacing, and partial replacement of concrete sidewalks, curb and gutters, driveways approaches, curb ramps, sewer and water main improvements, and traffic signing and striping.

The Work is to be completed before the expiration of FIFTY(50) WORKINGDAYS from the date specified in a
written “Notice to Proceed” from the City. The Engineer’s Cost Estimate is $3,400,000 To $3,700,000.

JMI is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified Section 3 firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Sawcut and Remove Existing AC Pavement Base and Subgrade, Remove and Construct Concrete Sidewalk, Sawcut and Remove Concrete Sidewalk, Concrete Curb and Gutter, Remove and Construct Concrete Driveway, Construct Concrete Alley Intersection, Furnish and Install Marathon II Sod, Plant New Tree, Unclassified Excavation, Unclassified Fill, Construct Decomposed Granite, Remove Existing Post and Salvage Existing Signs, Install Post with Signs, Place Crushed Aggregate Base, Construct AV Leveling Course, Construct ARHM Overlay, Adjust Existing Storm Drain/ Sewer/ Utility manhole Frames and cover finished Grade, Traffic Striping, Marking, Curb Painting, Install Project Signs, Furnish and Install various sizes water mains, Remove Existing service lines, Remove and Construct Sewer Later and Connect to Main.

Requirements: No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work with the Dept of Industrial Relations https://efiling.dir.ca.gov/PWCR/Search.action

JMI will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. The US Small Business Administration may also assist you in obtaining bonding - please see the following site for information: http://www.sba.gov/content/contractors# 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. JMI is willing to break down items into economically feasible packages and we are willing to break out any portion of work to encourage participitation.
