The work to be performed consists, in general, of pavement rehabilitation on California Avenue from Stockdale Highway to Real Road. Work shall include full depth reconstruction of the existing pavement. Other items include roadway excavation, construction of new pavement using Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt (R-HMA) and Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), installation of pavement striping and markings, including MMA Green Bike Lane striping, traffic detector loops, modification of existing curbs and gutters, access ramps to meet current ADA standards, and adjustment of water valves, manholes, and monuments.

Scope of Work:   Mobilization, SWPPP, Maintaining Traffic, Traffic Control and Detour Plans, Adjust water Valves, Adjust Manholes (Sanitary and Storm Drain), Adjust Survey Monument Encasement, Dust Control Plan, Roadway Excavation, Finishing Roadway, Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt, Hot Mix Asphalt -  Type A, Compensation Adjust for Price Index Fluctuation, Minor Concrete (Access Ramps, Cross Gutter, Median Cub), Traffic Stripe, (Thermoplastic) Pavement Markings ( White & Green), Fire Hydrant Markers, Traffic Detector Loops, Traffic Detector, Modify Landscaping and Irrigation, Construction Survey

Griffith Company will work with interested subcontractors to identify opportunities to break down items into economically feasible packages.
Requirements: Requirements: Griffith Company is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons, and Carpenters Unions. 100% performance and payment bonds required for the full amount of the subcontract price. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance, and worker’s compensation insurance coverage meeting Griffith Company’s requirements. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreements can be obtained by contacting the Estimator.
