Project: Replacement of Ion Exchange Treatment Plant No. 7991
Agency: Coachella Valley Water District
Scope of Services: The project will dismantle the existing, non-functioning IXTP 7991 arsenic removal system, and replace it with a single pass adsorption media treatments stem. The new treatments stem is compromised of the following: a pre-filtration system, steel pressure adsorber vessels, chemical feed and injections systems, process piping, above ground tanks, and a backwash recycle system. In addition, the onsite well will be equipped with a new pumping plant, electrical and chemical buildings, and other site improvements. The new arsenic removal facility will be capable of treating approximately 1,500 gallons per minute (gpm).

- Pursuant to Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1, all contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. No bid will be accepted, nor any contract entered into without proof of the contractor’s and subcontractors’ current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform public work. If awarded a Contract, the Bidder and its subcontractors, of any tier, shall maintain active registration with the Department of Industrial Relations for the duration of the project.
- Well Refurbishing Contractor must have a valid C-57 Water Well Drilling Contractor License, issued by the State of California
- MCC contractor must have a valid C-10 License, issued by the State of California
- Asbestos abatement contractor must have a valid C-22 License, issued by the State of California.

For any bid proposal submitted on or after March 1, 2015 and any contract for public work entered into on or after April 1, 2015, the following registration requirements apply: Every Subcontractor is required to be registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 of the Public Contract Code (“Section 1725.5”). No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal pursuant to Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. No bid shall be accepted nor any subcontract entered into without proof of the
Subcontractor’s current registration to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725 .5.
