General work description: Reconstruction of the existing De La Cruz Boulevard Bridge Overcrossing (OC) from a four-lane to eight-lane facility, which includes right-turn only lanes to the northbound and southbound loop onramps. Reconstruction will use precast prestressed I-girders to reduce structure depth, to provide standard vertical clearance over U.S. 101 and to allow for construction under the air space restriction of the adjacent San Jose International Airport.
Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified SBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Metal Beam Guardrail, Irrigation, Erosion Control, Asphalt Grinding, Striping, Survey, Pile Driving, Trucking and Material supply, Concrete Pipe, Plastic Pipe, Concrete and Asphalt.
The SBE Contract goal is 5.26 percent.
The Engineer’s Estimate for this Work ranges from $45 Million to $55 Million.

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator.
