General Work Description: Pavement rehabilitation on Thornton Avenue between Hickory Street and Spruce Street. The scope of work includes traffic control, installation of erosion and sedimentation control measures, asphalt concrete roadway surface conform/full width grinding, localized full depth asphalt concrete patch paving of various depths, grading, replacing traffic signal detector loops and related facilities, placement of asphalt concrete, installation of temporary pavement delineation, adjusting existing utility covers to grade, application of thermoplastic traffic striping and pavement legends, and other related items of work as needed to complete the public works improvements.
Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Asphalt Supplier; Traffic Control Supplier; Construction Area Signs; Traffic Control System; Traffic Flaggers; Plane Asphalt Concrete; Asphalt Concrete (Place); Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe & Marking; Painted Traffic Stripe & Marking Pavement Marking; Signal & Lighting; Lead Compliance; Bottom Dump Trucking
Super 10 Dump Truck; Truck Broker
The DBE Contract goal is 6 percent.
The estimated cost of the project is $1,400,000.00

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator. Please call if you need assistance in obtaining bonding, insurance, equipment, materials and/or supplies. Granite intends to work cooperatively with all qualified firms seeking work on this project.
