Is requesting quotations from all qualified DBE subcontractors and material suppliers for the following project:

Project Name: Del Monte and Casa Verde Recreational Trail Intersection Improvement
Bid Date and Time: April 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM
Agency: City of Monterey
Location: Del Monte and Casa Verde, Monterey CA
DBE Goal: 21%

In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, re-constructing the existing recreation trail at Casa Verde and installing other intersection and traffic signal improvements at the intersection of Del Monte and Casa Verde. The work shall include, but not be limited to, removing existing pavement; new pavement for the realigned bicycle trail; modifying median islands; reconstructing curb returns to allow joint pedestrian and bicycle traffic; modifying traffic signals to accommodate dedicated left-turn phasing on Casa Verde and a Leading Pedestrian Interval (LPI), realigned crosswalks and lane geometry modifications; installing storm drain improvements; and new streetlighting.

Quotes for Services and Supplies requested for the following items for bid including, but not limited to: Landscaping, Concrete, Survey, Striping & Traffic Signal and Lighting. See plans and specs for a complete list of bid items.

We will provide assistance/advice with obtaining Bonds/Insurance/Credit/Equipment/Materials and/or supplies.**Subcontractors must provide a current contractor’s license number and Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) current registration number with their quote.  

INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS (including but not limited to): Bonding, insurance, lines of credit and any technical assistance or information related to the plans or specification and requirements for the work will be made available to interested DBE/UDBE/DVBE certified small and micro business suppliers and subcontractors. Assistance with obtaining necessary equipment, supplies, materials, or related assistance or services for this project will also be offered to interested DBEsuppliers and subcontractors.The US Small Business Administration may also assist you in obtaining bonding - please see the following site for  information:  http://www.sba.gov/content/contractors#
