Disadvantaged Business Enterprises – Request for Hauling Proposals
Project: 05-3307C4 Highway 46 Widening – Wye Segment
Re: Transportation of asphalt and aggregates to project
Papich Construction Company Inc hereby requests bids from qualified businesses for transportation of aggregates and asphalt into the above-mentioned project. Businesses must meet the qualifications of a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) performing a commercially useful function to perform the described work as follows:
Load site: Sierra Pacific Materials – Avenal Facility 45315 South Aloine Ave Coalinga, California
Unloading site: Intersection of Highway 46 and 41 in Paso Robles, Ca. Work continues 3 miles in all directions from this location.
Duration: Project to begin 4th quarter 2023 with on and off periods extending through 2025.
Materials and transport methods requiring quote:

108,000TN Hot mix asphalt
- 30 Each minimum per shift, Double belly dumps, semi belly dumps, which haul a minimum of 25 net tons. With 10 minutes to load and 10 minutes to unload, or hourly quote.

3,000TN Hot Mix asphalt
- 5 Each minimum transfer trucks with 10 minutes to load and 30 minutes to unload, or hourly quote.

290,000TN Class 1 and Class 2 base material
- 30 Each minimum per shift, Double belly dumps, semi belly dumps, which haul a minimum of 25 net tons. With 10 minutes to load and 10 minutes to unload, or hourly quote.
-Trucks must be available with a maximum of 5 days’ notice and meet the required number of trucks, any damages due to truck shortages will be back charged to DBE hauler.
-Hourly rates may not exceed $150.00 per hour and fixed for the project duration.
