General work description: The WORK includes dividing the project into Base Bid and Bid Alternate areas due to the budget constraints as outlined in the plans. South Taxilane B Reconstruction includes removal of existing asphalt concrete (AC) pavement section. Subgrade cement treatment. Construction of new pavement section consisting of aggregate base and AC pavement. Construction of subgrade treatment and aggregate base overbuild beyond the pavement section to mitigate edge cracking. Construction of new aggregate base shoulders. Application of pavement markings. Improvements of grades in the work area. Removal of existing irrigation systems.

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: SAND & GRAVEL SUPPLIER (BULK ITEM), ASPHALT SUPPLIER(BULK ITEM), CONSTRUCTION STAKING, TRAFFIC CONTROL SUPPLIER, TRAFFIC FLAGGER, PLANE ASPHALT CONCRETE, HYDROSEEDING, IRRIGATION SYSTEM, AGGREGATE  BASE (AB), SOIL STABILIZATION, SAW CUTTING, CLEAN & SEAL PAVEMENT JOINTS – ROUT & SEAL CRACKS, OBJECT MARKER, PAINTED TRAFFIC STRIPING & MARKING, REMOVE PAVEMENT MARKING & TRAFFIC STRIPES, PAVEMENT MARKER, SWPPP PLANNING, TRUCKER, LANDSCAPING CONTRACTOR, CONSTRUCTION STAKING (SURVEYING)

The DBE Contract goal is 5.48 percent

The estimated cost of the project is $1,223,940.00

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price.
