General Work Description:The project, in general, consists of preparing and implementing water pollution control plan; providing traffic control; dewatering; removal of concrete; relocating electrolier; providing trench and excavation protection; trench excavation; furnishing, placing, compacting culvert bedding and trench backfill; installing District furnished 36” & 48” reinforced concrete pipes; installing District furnished pre-cast reinforced concrete box culverts; constructing cast-in-place concrete box culverts; constructing reinforced concrete manhole structures; milling asphalt concrete; furnishing, placing and compacting asphalt concrete; furnishing and installing vinyl clad chain link fence and gates will be placed on Ardenwood Boulevard, Paseo Padre Parkway, and Tupelo Street; reconstruction of concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk and driveways; pavement striping and marking; site cleanup and miscellaneous things; and all miscellaneous work necessary to complete said project. This project is subject to all Local, State, and Federal laws, rules and guidelines contained in the plans and specifications, including but not limited to payment of prevailing wages.

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified MBE/WBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Concrete & Cement Supplier; Construction Area Signs; Traffic Control System; Temp K-Railing; Clearing & Grubbing; Roadway Excavation; Grading; Erosion Control; Temp Erosion Control; Aggregate Base; Concrete Pumping; Seal Coat; Asphalt Concrete (Place); Soil Stabilization; Concrete Structure; Minor Concrete Structure; Concrete Surface Finish; Alternative Pipe Culvert; Reinforced Concrete Pipe; Permeable Material; Sewer Manhole; Concrete Curb & Sidewalk-Misc; Misc Iron & Steel Frame, Cover & Grate; Fencing; Temporary Fencing; Crash Cushion; Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe & Marking; Painted Traffic Stripe & Marking; Pavement Marking; Environmental-Water Quality; Swppp Planning; Street Sweeping Truck; Trucker   

The estimated cost of the project is $1,750,000

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator.
