The contract work for this project shall consist of furnishing all the required labor, materials, equipment, parts,
implements and supplies necessary to perform the required site preparation for the new City Yard location,
including mobilization, clearing and grubbing, over excavation, rough and final grading, street and drainage
improvements per the attached plans and specifications. The construction and completion of the project as indicated
above shall be in accordance with all City Standards and Building Codes, the Standard Specifications for
Construction of Local Streets and Roads, the Standard Drawings, and the Plans and Specifications as prepared for
this project.

JMI is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to:Clear and Grubbing/Site Preparation, Unclassified Excavation (Cut), Grading Per Plan (Fill), Construct .33' Aggregate Base-Non Paved Parking Areas,Construct .5' Aggregate Base -Paved Areas,Construct .33' Asphalt Concrete, Construct 8" AC Berm, Construct 8" AC Berm, Construct Mountain Catch Basin, Install Rock Slope Protection.

Requirements: No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work with the Dept of Industrial Relations https://efiling.dir.ca.gov/PWCR/Search.action

JMI will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. The US Small Business Administration may also assist you in obtaining bonding - please see the following site for information: http://www.sba.gov/content/contractors# 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. JMI is willing to break down items into economically feasible packages and we are willing to break out any portion of work to encourage participitation.

Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting JMI's requirements Please call if you need assistance in obtaining bonding, insurance, equipment, materials and/or supplies. JMI intends to work cooperatively with all qualified firms seeking work on this project.
