The estimated cost of the project is $4,420,000.
The Project is located at John Muir Parkway between Briones Valley Road and Concord Avenue, and is described as follows:new construction of John Muir Parkway north of Briones Valley Road (including utilities), and the construction of an access road to the Contra Costa County Flood Control District parcel. Improvements include, but are not limited to, storm drain, sanitary sewer, domestic water, non-potable water, irrigation water, grading, sidewalk, curb, gutter, pavement, signage, striping, landscaping, corrosion protection, joint trench and electroliers, complete and in satisfactory condition, all as shown on the plans and/or as specified herein.
Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified MBE/WBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Asphalt Supplier, Traffic Control System, Clearing & Grubbing, Erosion Control, Aggregate Base, Roadside Sign, Downdrain, Saw Cutting, Fencing, Survey or Historical Monument, SWPPP Planning, Landscaping Contractor, Fiber Optic and Trench

Requirements: Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price.No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work with the Dept of Industrial Relations https://efiling.dir.ca.gov/PWCR/Search.action

Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator.
