Granite Construction Company is seeking DBE Qualified Sub-Contractors on the following Project:

Bid Date: April 9th, 2019 @ 2:00PM

General work description: Hwy 680 Roadway excavation and minor concrete paving. In Santa Clara County In San Jose And Milpitas From Route 101/680 Separation To Scott Creek Road Undercrossing

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified MBE/WBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Lead Compliance Plan, Construction Area Signs, Traffic Control, Temporary Erosion Control, PCMS, Landscape, AC Dike, Minor Concrete, Electrical, Roadway Excavation, K-Rail, Temporary Crash Cushion Module, Adjust Utilities, Clearing & Grubbing, SWPPP, Street Sweeping, Hazardous Haulers and Trucking

The estimated cost of the project is $8,200,000.

DBE Goal: 11%

All quotes should be sent via fax to 408-327-7090 on or before 1pm on bid day 

Requirements: Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. No Contractor or Subcontractor shall be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, unless currently registered to perform public work with the Dept of Industrial Relations https://efiling.dir.ca.gov/PWCR/Search.action

Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. The US Small Business Administration may also assist you in obtaining bonding - please see the following site for information: http://www.sba.gov/content/contractors#

Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator. Please call if you need assistance in obtaining bonding, insurance, equipment, materials and/or supplies. Granite intends to work cooperatively with all qualified firms seeking work on this project.
