useful function, for the following project:

The Highway 101: Montecito Project (Segment 4D South) is the fourth of five Segments that will improve the Highway 101 corridor between Carpinteria and Santa Barbara, CA. Granite Construction has been awarded the Caltrans Preconstruction Services Contract and anticipates a contract to serve as the General Contractor. Granite is looking for qualified subcontractors and suppliers to join them in constructing this historic project.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In Santa Barbara County at Montecito from 0.2 Mile North of Sheffield Drive Undercrossing to 0.3 Mile South of San Ysidro Road Overcrossing (05-SB-101 PM 9.2/9.7).

Granite is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for ALL bid items, including but not limited to those in conjunction with Caltrans work classification codes: CLEARING & GRUBBING, CONCRETE GRINDING, DEMO BRIDGE, DEMO ROAD, DRIVEN PILE, EROSION CONTROL, FENCING, JOINT SEAL, LANDSCAPE, REINFORCING STEEL, ROADWAY ELECTRICAL, RUMBLE STRIP, SAWCUTTING, SIGNS, SOLDIER PILES, STAIN, STRIPING, STRUCTURE CONCRETE, BARRIER, TRAFFIC CONTROL

Requirements: Granite is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons, and Carpenters Unions. 100% performance and payment bonds required for the full amount of the subcontract price. Granite may assist with the bond premium up to 1%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation insurance coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement.
