General work description: The proposed project will include full width grinding, repairing road base failures, road resurfacing, installing, and modifying minor drainage improvements, concrete curb & gutter, sidewalk and accessibility curb ramps; traffic striping and marking, and road sealing. The work will take place on the following residential roads in the Upper Lucas Valley neighborhood: Mt. McKinley Road, El Capitan Drive, Mt. Foraker Drive, Mt. Foraker Court, Mt. Darwin Court, Mt. Hood Court, Mt. Lassen Drive, Mt. Lyell Drive, Mt. Shasta Drive, Mt. Shasta Court, Vogelsang Drive, Mt. Whitney Drive, Mt. Whitney Court and Mt. Diablo Circle.

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified MBE/WBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to: Concrete & Cement Supplier, Pipe Supplier, Storm Water Systems Supplier, Construction Staking Supplier, Traffic Striping, Marking and Traffic Control Supplier, Construction Area Signs, Traffic Control System, Reset, Adjust Roadway Items, Plane Asphalt Concrete, Penetration Treatment & Prime Coat, Paving Asphalt (Asphalt Concrete), Place Asphalt Concrete Dike & Misc, Bottom Dump Trucking.

Granite Construction Company (Granite) is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator.
